Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I have a crap one card and have just recently found that there is PPI on the account. I wrote to them twice asking for it to be cancelled and each time they return the letter saying that it can't be cancelled until I sign the letter.
I have also asked for a copy of my CCA - How should I proceed?
I have a crap one card and have just recently found that there is PPI on the account. I wrote to them twice asking for it to be cancelled and each time they return the letter saying that it can't be cancelled until I sign the letter. (You could of course sign the letter but make sure it has a little something added to make sure you would know if you saw the signature again. Or you could tell them the original is signed and that is the one you will present to the Court if you need to)
I have also asked for a copy of my CCA - How should I proceed? (Did you send the appropriate £1.00 fee with a section 78 request in line with Consumer Credit Act 1974?)
Have you had a look at the stickies section at the top of the PPI forum?

After cancelling you can then decide to claim back the PPI if you have a case. Please see these links for more information.
I have no legal training and the advice I offer is a matter of support. Before you commit to any Legal action you are advised to contact a qualified legal practitioner. ------------------------------------------------

Keep at them. Do not give way and do not accept all they tell you, they will delay and stall for as long as they can to prevent repaying you your mis-sold PPI.
