I read that with the CCA 2006 that creditors cannot charge a 'stupid' amount of interest on default charges anymore. I have had defaults since this has come into place that state that after 28 days (no interest on the 1st 28days) the interest would be 14.4%. I have also had one at 39.6%. Can they charged interest at this amount under the new rules?
