Default Sky Hd Offer - £49.00

    Hi,
I already have sky HD and I have a granny flat that my elderly parents live in attached to my property. My father asked me to get his sky plus upgraded to HD. Phoned sky and they said because we are under one address we cannot have the offer as I already have sky HD - Paid over £200 for it a year ago.
Can anybody tell me if this is fair? I am not allowed two sky accounts as it is one address, it is a no win situation.
I have been a sky customer since day one and I really feel that they dont look after their customers just their new ones!

Any advice would be appreciated as I cannot find anything that says I cant have the offer

Tell them if they don't do it at that price then you will cancel your subscription and move to Virgin. Virgin is Skys biggest rival.

    Trading Standards wants your help

    Dubious website businesses
    Conterfeit alcohol and cigarettes
Illegal sales of alcohol, tobacco, knives & fireworks to children
    Cowboy builders or tradesmen
    Car clockers
    Counterfeiters
    Aggressive selling

Never phone or accept phonecalls from debt collection companies.

If you don't believe you can win, there is no point in getting out of bed.

I know this won't help but Currys are now doing it for £29. For New and Existing Customers that upgrade to Multi Room. Why not try ordering it through them. Bit of a joke to be honest that existing customers are been denied the chance to take up the offer.
Or you could cancel your multi room, then next month go and take out a new multi room sub

I agree threaten them with cancellation it always works because they would much rather hold onto that monthly subscription.

They tried to charge me £65 for an engineers visit and then try and sell me insurance so i said put me though to cancellations

Once there i told them that i am paying over £50 a month for multiroom sky+ why should i pay for an engineer to which they agreed lol

next day i get the call out and another box installed plus one mth free for lose of service

Best way is to phone them and just say you are enquiring what is the procedure for cancelling your subscription. They will ask why, you tell them why, then say that Virgin have been on the phone and made you a very good package, and you're not happy with the service you've gotten from them concerning the skyhd box you wanted, seeing as you paid £200, and I guarantee they will put you through to the retention dept. You may even get an improved deal on your package. Just be confident on the phone and you'll get what you want. They want to keep you, not lose you to their rival!

I am worried about threatening them with Virgin as I cannot get cable where I live. They must be aware of this.

It was and should be the same in your case, no need to mention virgin merely saying that you are not happy with the service and that you will go else where will be enough for them to see the light remember to ask to be put though to cancellations as only they have the authority to take action

Remember cancellations aim is to hold onto as much business as possible

THEY DO NOT AND WONT TO LOSE YOU MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION AND WILL AND WILL TRY ALL MEANS TO KEEP IT.
