Question Recliaming PPI on old cards.

Have been thinking a lot about PPIicon of late as am trying to claim mis-selling against Firstplus (seperate thread).

My wife and I have had a lot of loans / cards which are now mostly being handled by debt collectionicon agencies and the majority of them are taking token payments. I have no idea if any of the loans / cards had PPI included on them. How can I find out if PPI was added to these accounts and if it was can I still approach the companies involved - Eggicon, Cahoot, GE storecard, Barclaycard etc if I feel it was mis-sold? The balances of these accounts are now owned by the DCA's i think.

    Thanks,

    Pubman.

You would need to send an SARicon to the each company to find out if PPIicon was added.

Any opinion I give is my own and given without

    any liability.

    Hi,

I'm not sure if it's worth it. The accounts are no longer active and we are making token payments towards them. I'm going to start off by sending a letter:

    Account Ref:

    Dear Sir,
I would like to know if the above account had at any stage been covered by a Payment Protection Insurance policy (PPIicon). If this is the case please advise me of the total amount that I paid to you for this cover over the life of the account.
Please also send me a copy of the original credit agreement signed by myself and showing where I had agreed to the PPI being taken out.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.

    Yours faithfully,

and see what comes back. I would be spending over £100 in SARicon fees to request from them all!! Not in such a hurry with these as with F+
