Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I have just joined this site and have started reading about this CCA business. I haven't been able to get a good feel for what is involved apart from the initial stage of sending off for the agreement.
I am a student and took out a Professional Trainee Loan with Natwest in Nov 2005 for £20'000 to fund my medical studies. I would like to look into whether it maybe enforcable, along with a few other debts (Egg Loan, Egg credit card).
Firstly, can anyone tell me if there is a guide or thread which explains this process to me. Secondly- my boyfriend keeps telling me that there are companies which can do this for you. Are any of these reputable, and do they charge fees upfront?
Lastly- I bank with NatWest and when I recently made a claim for bank charges and then asked to be considered for hardship they sent me a letter saying that they may remove all credit facilities from me, take back cheque books etc. I presume (fairly understandably) that they took my claim as us "falling out" and didn't really want my custom anymore- has anyone had experience of the same with this? I would be wary of being left without any banking facilities!
