I don’t know if this is the correct forum for this post if not perhaps a site mod could move it.

I think that all of us using CAGicon know that the site is reliant totally on donations to keep going. I also fully appreciate that most of us don’t find our why to the site because we are rolling in dough, however, I would also imagine that the stay on bank charges claims means that members are no longer receiving large lump sum refunds and must have taken a toll on donations.

I just wondered if it had ever been considered to have a modest monthly or quarterly subscription to help with the running costs of the site. I stress that in keeping with the principles of CAGicon this should remain entirely voluntary.

It’s just having seen the way site members rallied around to support UK26 in his battle against the CRA’s seems to me there may be considerable support for such a scheme.

I put this forward simply as the basis for discussion and would be interested in the views of other members.

I've thrown into the pot when the libel case was at it's high and I've contributed in my own small way to UK's fund -

As I do on line banking I would find it easier if I could pay into a bank account rather than use paypalicon (I can never remember my password - I prefer to think it of it as a blond thing rather rather than an old timers thing) -
The thought of putting bank details onto a website makes me cringe - but does the site have a donations account that we can use? If so can one of the Mods/team pm me with it? I'd be happy to set up a standing order - it won't be for a vast fortune but every little helps
