Default Recieved partking ticket, scanned the ticket on here.

Hiya, I went to Asda today to get a quick few things, they wanted 30p to park for 30 minutes, I had no change atall, only my bank card (the ticket machine doesn't accept cards), there was plenty spaces available, so I went in anyway and was a maximum of 10 minutes, on my receipt it says i purchased 4 mintutes after the ticket was issued, here is the ticket what was stuck to my windscreen.

The scans of the ticket are below.

Do I have to pay? its seems a bit pathetic, considering I had no change atall and that I was in and out in under 10 minutes that I have to pay £50 or £25 if paid within 2 weeks.

    Thanks.

Edit - not partking, should be parking.

ie. ask for the Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) from the council.

To be honest though, unless that is dodgy, I can't see any legal errors on the pcnicon. Never avoid paying and displaying on a council car park, even for 5 minutes. They will get you and there's often not a lot you can do.

a LOT of TROs are flawed. It may be called an 'Off street parking order".

Edited out the details. Cheers for the replies, what is the parking order for the carpark? I looked on the big sign where you pay and it says its controlled by 'sefton parking services'.

    Any other advice?

As much as I'd hate to do so - I'd take the pay early option and take the discount. SOME council run car parking areas may not have valid regulation orders to allow them to charge for vehicles parked there, but this is very much a last-gasp home, and should vever be undertaken if you are close to losing any discount for parking, as if you miss the deadline you have to pay the full amount, or appeal. You cannot do this as you haven't a valid excuse. Saying it didn;t take cards is no different to the old maters that took 20p and you argued it didn't take notes.

The fee has to be paid on arrival, or you suffer the consequences if you get caught.
