Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I just got a fixed penalty of £80 (£40 if paid early) for not parking correctly. My back wheel was on the kerb slightly. I was parked in a private run shopping car park.
I have read a thread made on this site back in 2007 stating that the ticket is illegal.
Is this still correct?
Can I appeal the ticket, and if so how?
Or is it just best to pay it and park more carefully in the future?
It is completely and utterly legally unenforceable as all private parking fines/tickets are.

There is no appeals process - this is a private company who will never turn profit down.
The ticket is utter rubbish. Ignore them and any junkmail you receive. Don't contact them. Zero chance of this ever ever ever going to small claims court.
