Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Just a query really on the position of disabled parking.
The council has reduced on road parking by nearly 80% in my area. This leaves five parking spaces. We have a neighbour has a disabled sticker, who insists on parking on the legal spaces, rather than the double yellows (even though this is over 20 yards from her door).
I don't think there is any mediation with its neighbour, so therefore asking politely is out of the question.
As I stated in my previous post, a parking ticket has been issued from the local council to me. Due to the lack of parking, is there anything I can do in this situation?
Your neighbour can only park for 3 hours on double yellow lines and if there is markings on the pavement, your neighbour can't park at all.
Even then, a traffic warden could put a ticket on if they think the car is being parked inconsiderately or causing an obstruction.
If you are asked to deal with any matter via private message, PLEASE report it.
Everything I say is opinion only. If you are unsure on any advice given, you should see a qualified solicitor

Thanks for the reply.
I didnt know there was a limit on the badge parking I thought the council would have provided a carparking space as its in a main road.
The new TRO is causing all sorts of problems with parking, the council are reviewing it in 3 months at the planning meeting, not that it will change anything

Hi
Unfortunately there is time limits even for blue badge holders, but there has to be the correct signage up informing this. You didnt state whether the bays were "Permit Holders Only" or shared bays. Shared bays are those with something like
"Permit holders only Mon-Sat 6pm-8am." and "1Hr free parking, no return within 2 hrs" or whether there was any signs at all. If there are no restrictions then you cant complain about him/her.
You say you received a parking ticket ? Could you confirm if the bays are permit holders, and whether you have a residents permit.
Im a civil enforcement officer, and if I know the full details, signs, restrictions etc, then I could maybe guide you inthe right direction.
