This site has been a god send, but i don't know what to do now. we where paying Blair oliver an agreeded monthly amount ,xmas time the account was closed without notice ,then 1st credit phoned ,after a initial panic where my partner returned 1 phone call,i found this site,then started the letter sending . One day away from 12+2 they sent what looked like cca,their letter states "edited"and the letter from supposely Halifax to assign the debt ,is from 1st credit. The debt is alot over £15000, but they are only chasing my partner,but it was taken out in joint names, and there is no sign of it in the experian report, . Today ,the letter from LCS came ,demanding full payment within 7 days and mentioning our property , ccj,final charging order, statutory demand ,and i can't sleep with worry, it would appear they are not sure about my partner .. please advise, just to mention, when we first took out the loan about 2003,we topped up about 2004 and had to take PPI out , when through ill health we fell behind,and we tryed to see if we could use the ppi,but where told we ha none.we found agreement some time later ,but passed on to blairoliver by then . any help would be very welcome

Make sure you do not post anything which identifies you. Although we can remove certain things from the site unless it's done in a timely manner everything you post will appear in Google cache & we do not have any control over that.
I believe what you have received is a standard LCS threatogram. There are at least 2 issues here:
You have asked for a CCA, it has not been provided.
You may have been mis-sold PPI .
Both of these are grounds to put the account in dispute, even if they could provide the CCA it must be the true executed copy and bear the correct prescribed terms.
No doubt the LCS letter says "phone them immediately to discuss this issue".
Whatever you don't, or if they ring you, decline to answer security questions, everything in writing from now on. If you must speak to them on the phone, make sure your record it (but don't tell them that). Also, do not provide a signature on any correspondence and if you post anything up here, remove all identifiers (and that includes BARCODES). When 12+2 is up, send teh account in dispute letter. You may have seen this:
thanks for reply, i got back a cca,it looked real ,one page in the letter they sent it said "edited " so i sent them another letter asking for "true " copy ,they then started to threaten with solicitors, lcs letter arrived today

advise appropiate there will be letter back to our freinds in regiate

i am so hoping i have done this right ,it's taken me age's, also the figures on the agreement are different to what they are askin and i don,t recall the final amount coming to that figure thanks rosie
