    Default mint credit card charges ? can I claim ?

    Hi all , first post here , looking a bit of advice ,
    had a credit card with mint , fell behind with payments , debt was passed on to triton credit services to which I pay £75 per month to , can I still go through the process of claiming back any charges against me ??
    any help much appreciated

    ok, mint have been quite efficient so far , today I received a letter offering me £112 , my total charges were £488, say their charges of £12 are in line with the office of fair trading guidelines , not sure whether to pursue further or not , the money would be handy now ?

    Absolutely pursue this! This is the standard letter they send first to scare you. I have done the same thing with nearly £600 charges and interesticon with Mint and they offered to pay in full after the second letter I sent. They really do not want to go to court! Go for it

    letter came in from them today , they ve offered the full amount plus interesticon , ive accepted
    do they send me a cheque now or does it come off the balance with triton ??

    They'll usually try and take it off the balance; so check, as there is no reason why you shouldnt get it refunded straight to you if you would rather, although it will probably take a bit of haggling. Well done though!
