Default help pls Told i have a case but need to pay £200 upfront

    Hello

Sorry if this is in wrong place i am new to posting and PPIicon or cca

First of all in 2006 i went overdrawn by .59p at the bank Lloydsicon TSB

I went into try and have the fee waiverd as it was only pence.

I got interviewed and told i had to take a credit card or i would have to pay the £30 pounds charge.I told them i was unemployed and couldnt afford a credit card.He still talked me into takeing out the card and also talked me into takeing payment protection.Even though i told them i was unemployed and didnt need ppi.
I have all my original documents and have a copy signed from the person who interviewed stateing that i was unemployed for over 6 months and that they still recomend i take out the insurance.

I cancelled the insurance not long after so i didnt make many payments

The balance on the credit card has risen over the years and i am struggling to pay the bill.I wish i would have just payed the £30

After reading and searching for a while i came across

A website not sure if im allowed to name them

They asked me to email the documents and somebody phoned saying that theres a solid case but i need to pay £199 audit charge upfront

I told them i didnt have it and they said i could put it on my credit card before they started the claim.Which started to ring some alarm bells.

The last thing i need at the moment is to be ripped off and generate more debt

Im a bit confused if i was to claim my ppi insurance i dont think it would even mount upto the £200 fee.

Im getting the impression that i might have an illegal cca agreement.

    Any help is much appreciated

    Cheers

    Sandra

    Don't do it!!!

Whatever they say they can do, you can do yourself at no expense.

Read up on here, both on PPIicon and the CCA and take it from there. Take your time, ask questions if you don't understand, and empower yourself (and save money!)

    £199, my backside.

Apologies to people who I was in the process of helping, I may be gone some time.

Yep agree with Bookworm - there is all the information you need on here and people in similar situations just take the time to read around

If you can keep you head when all of those around you are losing theirs try parking your helicopter somewhere else

    Good morning

Yes, as you will all (possibly) know,
I agree with this 100% - you can do it yourself. DON'T part with any money to anyone who says they can help you. The only person they will help is themselves!! (to your money).

    All the best
