hi all, im new to this PPI icon

claims but in November 2006 i got a MINI and took out finance with BMW finance and also the payment protection insurance. I am just wondering if anyone can tell me the terms that lead to this being classed as miss sold. in may 2007 i lost my job and rang to claim over the insurance and was told i wasnt eligible to claim??

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Why were you not eligible? What was your employment situation at the time of signing up?

Well basically in my old job the working conditions were awful and i kept gettin ill so my Dr said it was probably something to do with the conditions at work (cold, dusy etc..) so basically i had it out with the boss and told him that i thought the conditions were awful and needed sorting out and they then made my life hell and the next time i got ill i quit...was only after this when i rang BMW they said because i quit i wasn't eligible...

on the second reply..I have read through the information on your link and there a few points i was never told of..I was never aware you could purchase it elsewere, I was never asked if I had other insurance to cover me... (just asked could you repay the loan if i lost my job.) and most importantly i was never told if i quit my job i would not be covered just told if i "lost" my job. this was in the small print but unfortunatly i never read these

Hmmmm....if you quit, then that puts a different spin on things. Obviously, quitting is exempt from PPI icon

eligibility - otherwise, everyone would jusdt sign up for PPI cover for their liabilities, then quit their job.

Although you didnt read the small print, the small print WAS there in their T&Cs.

I dont think that GENERALLY, you have a basis for a claim here, unless you were explicitly told that if you QUIT your job you would be covered.

It will be hard to prove a claim against you quitting your job, but all is not lost because rather than claim on the policy by checking the link i gave you in an earlier post it may well of been mis-sold icon

so you can claim the policy cost plus interest icon

back. Ill leave you to research this and think it over.

I see, could you please guide me on where to look to start claiming in this way? i have looked on the template letters but cannot see anything refering to PPI icon

The link Pompey gave you has obviously opened your eyes to at least a couple of things that they done regards to miss-selling. Read some more threads on the PPI icon

forum you will understand it more.
