Hi,,this is driving me crazy. I have a Dell Dimension.. there is the exclamation mark in yellow background. I have tried to update then roll back the drivers, no luck! I tried uninstalling and reinstalling , no good. Does anyone have a link as Dell have been really unhelpful and will charge me for any advice.

Shut down the pc, take off the side of the pc and disconnect the power cable from the cd drive. Reboot the computer so it now thinks there is no cd. Shut down again and reconnect the power lead and then boot up again. Windows should then recognise the cd and install it.
above should resolve the problem CD/DVD drivers are generic of windows,
unless the files are corrupted, it may ask you to insert a CD ( typical ms stupid message ) there are ways round this , give me a shout if you still have a problem
