Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Hope you can help me, im so worried and i cant relax!
I was pulled over in october 2008, for doing 55-60mph in a 40mph dual carriage way which was at night and empty, to cut a long story short, i applogised to the officers and explained why i was speeding etc, he turned to me and said "depending how i feel at the end of the night, depends if i take this any further, if i do you will be getting a summon shortly" this was about 5 months ago now, i am aware that the officer has 6 months to take this further!
My question is this, is there any way i can find out after 6 months has passed (or even now) if the officer took this any further, as i really need to know as i am currently training to be a driving instructor and i cannot afford to have any points on my licence!
sounds like good police work to me. he made you think about speeding for quite a while to get the message home to you. If you passed the attitude test when he stopped you there is good reason to believe it was just a warning. Just have to keep your fingers crossed. Summons can come a couple of months after the six month deadline for laying information.

I understand this, this is why i want to find out if the officer put forward any information within the 6 months as i will never be able to relax :-| especially as it will have such a huge effect on me
