Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I can't find the thread I was following in July 2008 but I have a semi-success story. Had the flywheel fail on my 307SW HD110 at 52,000 miles (5 years 4 months old). Bought new from dealer. Dealer said 'Wear and Tear' and charged £1,400 to replace. Exchange of letters - dealer called in solicitors instantly. Made claim in county court at which point their attitude changed. Not sure whether Peugeot UK were involved but I got an offer from dealer and settled for a refund of £800 on the repair cost. Dealer has now closed down! It is worth sticking to your guns and pursuing your case in the courts.
