Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Does the Royal mail, Parcelforce or whoever allow / provide facility for you to send an item without paying for it BUT for the receiver to pay on receipt???
My flatmate (a posty) informs me that the local sorting office will give a card to the recipient stating that postage needs to be paid and they will then give post to you on receipt of payment. If not paid, it gets sent back the address it was sent from (if known).
as long as you can fit it through a postbox as I don't think they wouldn't accept an unstamped/paid for item over the counter and it would cost the recipitent and extra £1 on the cost of postage as well

Hee hee! I can imagine someone at the post ofice sending a huge parcel, asking for guaranteed delivery with full insurance then walking off saying "it's ok, the address will will pay for it." Methinks mr security guard would want a word...
Sort of. The facility exists - a bit like 'Freepost' and the Business Reply Service the recipient pays for the delivery, however this requires a special account to be set up to allow it. The sender can then write the modified address and the recipient pays. If the recipient hasn't made such an arrangement, then you cannot send it at their expense.
