Default Does the Council and/or Bailiffs put CCJ's on credit file

    Just a quick question.....

I got behind with years of unpaid council tax, had bailiffs at the door etc etc etc.

The Council threatened by with bankruptcyicon and then decided to give me an AOE and start paying through my employer.

In August 09 I will have CLEARED ALL my debt with these idiots - had I sorted it out before the bailiffs got involved I would have not doubt have been free from them long ago!

    Anyway, my questions are:

    1. Will the Council apply a CCJ against me for every year I have had these payments going through my employer?

    2. Will the Council have put defaults as well as CCJ's on my credit file?

    3. Will the bailiffs have done the same?

    4. Is there any way I can claim back the bailiff charges?

    Thanks in advance.

I think normally council tax is a liability order and not a CCJ which does not affect your credit file

You can take them to county courticon but you would have to claim that the fees were "unreasonable".

I want to claim my charges back too but I'm waiting till the whole amount is paid off, so I hadn't really looked at the website. Sorry!
