Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Did not realise that there was/is a problem concerning PPI until; i received a letter from my bank.
Firstly i received this letter recently from HSBC concerning my PPI on an existing loan that i have with them, they have asked me to go to my nearest branch & speak with a representative, they have stated that they have been trying to contact myself by both mail & telephone & that this last letter will be the last one that they will send. I am not entirely sure what they are after or what they expect from me. Will they try to get me to sign a waiver etc? If so where do i stand do i have to sign?
Secondly, i have previously "Bought" a car from YCC with a loan that covered 4 years of having to pay £200.00 per month ( Which i finished paying for last year ) & like i have said above i did not realise that there were problems with msi-selling of the PPI's so, having looked into it & found this aswell as other similar forums i did not realise that it was such a common occurance. Where do i stand?

I have since gone to the branch & spoken to someone, they have now seperated the PPI into several different sections & it is down to each individual as to what cover ( If Any ) they would like. I am now waiting a date for an appointment to arrange this where i will also ask about my previous loans ( Going back to 1991 ) that i have had with HSBC, would i be able to make some sort of backdated claim for the PPI on all of these loans?

As i have had various loans with HSBC since 1991 & have always had PPI, would it be a good idea to send an SAR to get the low down on all of the various acconts that i have / have had which also includes a couple of managed loan accounts?
