Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
hope you can help me.
I've checked all posts on this forum and first what I can say is.. thank you for helping people with all that mess.
I have same problem (PPI) I've copied a letter from this forum and want to send it to welcome finance.
There is few things I dont really understand. I have not finish my loan yet, so should I ask for cancell PPI from my contract and refund PPI charges I've paid so far? I got all documents ready but because my English is not perfect just need someone to check them 4 me.
Also I'm not sure if I put correct figures on this letter.
would you like to help me?
BTW I've never received statement or any document to keep me up tp date with my loan payments. I thought this is my right to know what my ballance is. When I asked for settlement they charged me £45.79 for that Is that ok ?

Dear Sir/Madam,
Ref – xxxxxx
On the 18th July 2008 I took out a £2500 loan at your Watford branch and also bought a payment protection policy which would cost me an extra £1528,25 over the life of the loan. The total amount of my premiums plus interest is £ 2909.68.
When I took out the loan, I was told that my application would be refused if I did not also buy a PPI policy. The Financial Services Authority’s advice to consumers is that, while it does not breach FSA guidelines, a borrower should not be refused a loan if they choose not to buy an insurance policy.
In forcing me to buy this policy, you have also breached paragraph 8.6 of the Banking Code, to which you are a signatory.
I do not believe being forced to buy this policy as part of the loan was a fair and reasonable obligation as I did not need this insurance and said at the time of taking the loan that I did not want it.
I am requesting a full refund of all my insurance payments, plus interest, which total £ ????????.
I hope that you will enter into a sincere dialogue with me about this matter and I am writing this letter to you on the assumption that you will prefer to do this than merely respond with standard letters and leaflets. I will give you 14 days to reply to me accepting, unconditionally, my request in principle and letting me know a date by which I will receive payment.
If you do not respond, or you do not respond positively, within this time period, I shall send you a letter before action giving you a further 14 days in which to reflect. I believe that this time frame is sufficient for a large company such as yours with its dedicated staff and departments. After that, there will be no further communication from me and I shall issue a claim at the expiry of the second deadline.

They have 40days to comply under the Data Protection Act, but do be nice and allow some time for postage. Which should always be by recorded delivery, so you can prove that they did receive it.
While wating for there reply read through this forum about PPI reclaiming it will give you an insight into the way some of these companies work, (or not in some cases).

ok, I've just received all docs from WF, but what should I do now? I have all paperwork inc PPI. Can I send a letter that you can see in my first post?
PLS I really need help with this matter
Sadly I have to tell you that the Directors of ICM Electrical Ltd, under advice from a Business Recovery Company, have decided to put the company into Voluntary Liquidation. This is because the liabilities of the Company outweigh the assets and we see no possibility of redressing this situation in the foreseeable future.
This means that, with effect from today, you are no longer employed byICM Electrical Ltd. "
Can someone tell what is better in that sistuation?
- Claim PPI refund and try to finish this crappy contract or
- Use my PPI in this circumstances?
