hi
im new to this site
from what i have seen the advice is great

my problems are probably typical
things have gone down finacialy for the last 12 months
i found myself unable to keepup with my credit comitments
we are in financial hardship and now receive full tax credits
we have a mortgageicon of £1000 a month which is upto date
(at the moment)
my debts are all on credit cards
i sent them all a letter explaining our current position and making an offer of monthly payments of £20 which was sent to all dec 08.
i also sent them our income and expenidture (which leaves us with negative disposable income.

these are the responses so far
skycard will not accept our offer of £20 mnth (they say that the account will default at the end of feb 09) and that they may negotiate more when it is passed to collections.

capital 1 accepted our offer which we now pay but they say the account will be sold end feb and we would have to re negociate

Eggicon have passed it on to debitas who have accepted our offer of payment for 6 months and then review it

citi have accepted our offer for upto 12 months then review

MBNAicon have offered us a setlement figure of £1900 for a debt of £7500
saying they will right the rest of the debt of
(sounds like a no brainer but when your not earning)
we are going to accept the offer as they say they will give us several mnths to raise the amount (got to atleast try)

now for the strange one
MINT (RBSicon) they have sent my debt to Triton Credit Services
who will not accept my offer and say the only way is to pay it all off within 6 months
£2500 (impossible)
the told me i would have to send them full details of all our debtors and amounts owing (do i have to do this?) i dont want to go down the debt managment route as
there is light at the end of our finacial tunnel
(which is why i sugested 6 months to them all)
i have read about triton on hear and it seems they are going to be very agressive in trying to recover this debt
i have only spoken to them for the first time today
they were not helpful in any way
what is the best way to deal with these as they seem to be quite unreasonable?

i have told them all that even though we have no disposable income atall
i would be leaning on my family to help keep up with our proposed plan

also over the last 5 years or so i have been paying PPIicon on most of my cards ( i was always self employed and i think i would be able to claim back these costs )
in the case of the mbna card which offered us to clear at £1900
if i send a claim for ppi paid on the account im worried they will say
they will pay back the ppi which would probably be £2000 ish
they may take this away from the origonal debt £7500 leaving £5500
making us then pay full amount.

any advice would be gratfully received

kind regards to all
Dave
