Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I have a credit balance on a Barclaycard and I have asked for it back. The amount will not make me rich nor will it dent the coffers at Barclaycard. At present they are refusing to send me the money suggesting instead I use the card and then pay off only the balance. Is there anything I can do to make them pay up? Any thoughts and suggestions welcome.
I paid the monthly bill but they also took their monthly cut by debit card so there's an overlap of a few pounds.
I have written to them and asked for a cheque. They are refusing to do this because they do not have the systems in place to do so. They have sent out plenty of useless credit card cheques in the past. When I contacted them and told them a bank transfer was not possible due to my being between banks it was then they suggested I buy something and pay off the balance.
I will write again over the weekend and tell them to find another way of refunding the money I might give them a couple of week to comply before I start a blitz on phoning them up and demanding payment. ell its what they do if ny of their customers miss a payment. I may even add interest and charges.
