Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Ok, late december I went overdrawn by a nominal amount (less than £50) by a direct debit I forgot about - I have just checked my bank account and Lloyds have stung me for:
£0.25 in "overdraft interest"
£7.95 in "Account Charge"
£20 in "Returned DD"
£165 "Unplanned Overdraft Fees"
HOW THE F**K did they work that out?
I notice the OFT has put a stay on until July about reclaiming fees back (plus a probable large backlog) but in the meantime how can they justify these charges and at the moment is there anything I can do?
I was looking to put a claim in for bank charges that date back a long while but didn't really think too much of them but this last straw has really f***ing rifled me...
You should get your claim in asap, yes, it's more than likely it will be 'stayed', but you will not loose any of your older fees, and any new fees can be added right up until you file at court.
Regards.
Scott.
