    Default egg ppi refund succuss?

hi,i had an Eggicon loan for£6000 the PPIicon was £1433 so that equals £7433 total.the monthly repayments were £149 over 60 months,so this gives a grand total amount payable as £8971.
i paid 18 payments of £149 (£2682)to egg then i got into financial trouble so was paying moorcroft £50 per month of which i paid them £1100,the balance at the moment stands at £4700.today i got a letter off egg stateing the total amount concerned in my mis-selling is £1433 and they have contacted moorcroft to credit this to my account,i was just wondering what the new balance with moorcroft be.should the £1433 come off the total amount payable, then whatever i,ve paid in ppi come off that.thanks

I think that there is a larger issue here - if you feel you would like to explore that route.

Could it be said that if you had not been sold the PPIicon that you would have managed the repayments?

How much did you actually pay back? If what you repaid before you got into problems would have been sufficient to pay the loan had it not been augmented by the additional PPI payment then I think that you have a basis for a serious compaint against Eggicon and that you are in a position to make some demands from them.

To help you a little, what would have been the repayments on the loan without PPIicon? How many months, just paying the loan would £2682 have covered?
As you were repaying £149 per month on a £6000 loan when in fact the repayments over 60 months should have been less than that, you were for at least 18 months, well ahead of your repayment obligations.

Did they hit you with any charges for late repayment? If so, then you want these back too.

Lots of interesting questions here before we can really see what your situation is

    HI tiger33.
Can i ask what your reason for mis selling is.
I am just about to write to Eggicon about my PPI and the fact that because it was a lump sum added to loan so that would mean i have borrowed ppi and i have been paying interesticon on it (well thats what i have come up with hope that its correct).
