Hey all,
Just out of interest as an 18month old problem I long gave up on is still bugging me. is there really no hope?
The nuts and bolts;
I took a £2000 loan and paid a dealer using my debit card for a vehicle.
the next day the engine blew up after travelling 12 miles on the motorway.
AA got me & vehicle home.
Dealer came and collected vehicle.
Dealer phoned me saying if I paid him £400 he would fix vehicle & give me a warranty.
I told him don't be silly, give me my money back.
Threw more good money after bad, went to court.
Motor company apparently no longer existed.
Could try again going after dealer again in his name.
Couldn't afford it.
Never saw dealer, £2000 or vehicle again!
Can this guy really get away with this?
Tough deal, sorry you got nothing.
If you know his name and address then maybe a letter threatening leagal action personaly may get you somewhere. small claims not that expensive
