Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
hello i wonder if anyone can tell me if i can now surrender my vehicle [the worst car that was ever manufactured] here the details
the car was £4.999
insurance credit gap and warranty £1000
total amount of credit £5.995
charge for credit with WELCOME at 16% £4.256.52
total amount payable £10.995 wow!
it is over 24 months ,i pay £211.49 and have had the car for 26 months
it states to terminate your rights i quote / you have the right to end this agreement.to do so .you should write to the person to who you make the payments to. they will then be entitled to return of the goods and to half the the total amount payable under this agreement that is £4.255.68
can i send the load of junk back
Yep you can terminate the agreement ( VTA) by writing to the lender, as long as you have paid at least half of the price of the goods ( car ). You will have to pay of all the other credit for insurance etc.
If you have paid more you will not get any back.
It is your responsibility to return the car and it must be in good condition and with a valid MOT.
If you have insurance, and you haven't claimed off it, it might be wise to try & cancel it before you VT the car. I managed to do this with Black Horse.
