Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I would like to commence the process of challenging the legitimacy of the agreement for my ltsb 'gold card' account which was taken out a long time ago, so long ago that I can't remember when it was, it must have been in the late 90's.
One possibly minor complication is that the account is in joint names with my wife (yes I know, don't rub it in), I can't remember whether the agreement, if it is valid, is enforceable against both parties?
As a separate issue, I will be challenging late payment charges, I'll set up a separate thread for this as I think it requires a different route?
a sort of fire-fighting role here. Hate HFC & their past compulsory PPI ethos

Hi dx - three threads but actually with similar names, different issues, is that a problem? I thought that was what we are supposed to do here. Apologies if I've screwed up - it is late ...
What I want to do is find a route to getting a more reasonable repayment plan in place, due to changed circumstances I've only been able to make minimum payments for the last couple of years, ltsb flatly refuse to convert it to a loan, at this rate it will never be paid off (£13k).
