Default Serious Problem With Natwest PPI after Bike Accident.

Hi,I hope I'm posting in the right area, I really need some advice. I'll be as brief as possible. Basically I took out a loan with Natwesticon in 2000 and took on the PPI. All was going well until I had a Bike accident in 2002, I made a claim which was fine until in 2003 my health deteriorated to such an extent that I was told that I couldn't live at home without care and support. I remember nothing until late last year when It became obvious that the PPI had not covered the loan I assume because the PPI didn't get my sick notes etc. I can claim but Natwest closed the account and they won't pay into my account because of the way their PPI works. However Natwest have escalated my loan to debt collectorsicon who claim that the outstanding amount is £17000 from a £21000 debt. I paid at least £10000 and PPI claim they have paid £13000 so why do I owe £17000? Natwest refuse to give me any help, they refuse my request to re-open the account for the purposes of PPI but again refuse. Now they claim I owe them £4000 on a credit card that I didn't know I had! again, they will not give me any details about this what do I do? Please Help!!!!

Nick it sound a little complicated so as a 1st step I would recommend you see a solicitor who may be able to see the wood from the trees. Then after you have spoken to them come back here & explain your situation again

Thanks for your replies! what I have done is Informed the debt collectorsicon of the situation and they have put the account on hold.

I have exhausted myself trying to get the information from Natwesticon, they won't provide it, or give me a reason why the account is closed. I have been to see the CAB and they say I should send the case to the FSA so I am going to do that. Sorry about the confusion i'll explain it better now i'm not so stressed.

    Total loan (inc PPIicon) £25000
I paid £10000 (approx) before my accident
    The PPI have paid £13000

    Debt Left £2000
Natwest say the Debt is £17000

The PPI say they can't pay the money in anything other than the Natwest account which Natwest have closed.

They don't know where the missing £13000 is either as it didn't bounce when they paid it into the account. I was also told that if I was ill for 5 years+ then the account would be settled automatically. This hasn't happened.

All I want is Natwest to take back the loan, open an account to pay it off and find my missing £13000!!!!!

    Thanks

    Nick
