Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Hi, and thanks for taking a look at my questions. If any of this stuff is covered in FAQs, sorry about that and please point me in the right direction cheers.
I've had an RBS student account since 2004. Over that time i've picked up a fair number of bank charges, mainly £10 for having gone over my arranged overdraft level and some £35/38 for unpaid direct debits, totalling around £750. The step by step on the front page states I cannot claim agreed overdraft fees, does this include these £10 charges?
Would anyone have an idea as to how likely I would be to lose my account or overdraft, and whether it would be simple enough to reopen another one with BOS or another bank. I'm still a student just now, and have decided to try and reclaim them as i'm finally in a position to be comfortably outwith my overdraft, so if they did decide to close it I would still be able to get by
I also had a credit card with Style, through Kwik Fit, for a few years, with which i incurred a number of charges, and the account has since been closed. Is it still possible and relatively simple, to reclaim those charges.
I'm aware with all the recent court stuff it's likely to be a long process
Cheers for reading, and i just hope i haven't asked too much.
