I am at present trying to reclaim the PPI on my credit card.
As I hold a balance on my credit card would the bank expect any refund if given to be used to clear the balance or as I totally cleared my previous balance last year would any refunded PPI & interest paid to that date be mine to do with as I wish.
I don't know if the bank are going to refund, but as the four weeks extra time they asked for is almost up I am interested to know my rights.
I am at present trying to reclaim the PPI on my credit card.
As I hold a balance on my credit card would the bank expect any refund if given to be used to clear the balance (No doubt they would try and clear any balance outstanding but you can insist on a cheque if the PPI is proven as mis-sold then it is your money to do with as you wish) or as I totally cleared my previous balance last year would any refunded PPI & interest paid to that date be mine to do with as I wish. Please see above response.
I don't know if the bank are going to refund, but as the four weeks extra time they asked for is almost up I am interested to know my rights. If you have given them an additional 4 weeks response time then you have been very generous and I would now start to insist that they abide by your timescales ie 4 weeks extra and no result then you should insist on payment to you as you see fit do not be controlled by the people who have allegedly mis-sold.
Keep at them the banks are notorious at delaying tactics if you check out my thread it took over 12 months for a result and in fact the fight is still ongoing.
