Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
My current account with RBS is currently 246 overdrawn due to them paying a direct debit for me ( a first ever) anyway, At the begining of January Id given a Cheque to one of my bills and they have advised me it will be getting paid to their bank this evening.
My question is, on the day that cheque is showing as trying to come off balance will then be -573, If i pay in the £328 amount for the cheque before 3.30pm that day and tell the bank that its for the cheque will they pay it or will it just come off the £246 balance and then charge me???
If it's an unarranged overdraft then it will be at the discretion of the bank whether they pay it or not I'm afraid. So they might honout it but then again they might not.
