Thread: Can I still claim charges on settled accounts?

Settled 2 x Barclaycards through 1st credit about 2 years ago, this was before i know what i know now otherwise i wouldn't have sent them anything and gone down the CCA routes instead etc. My question is can I still claim unfair charges from them or will that not be possible because of the length of time that has passed?

When you say settled, what do you mean? Do you mean they were settled in full or that you made a Full and final settlement for a percentage of the balance?

How old are the charges?

Sorry, they were settled by way of a reduced settlement figure offer from the DCA, charges would go back to at least 2003.

The problem with claiming the charges (apart from the age of them if they stopped adding charges about 2003) is that you didn't pay them in a way as you short settled on the account.

last lot of charges would probably have been around 2004/2005 and account was settled with DCA at a reduced settlement in 2006.
