Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I have not replied to first letter after ticket was issued in november 2008. After reading some advice I decided to ignore letters. Now I am nervous about continuing to ignore the letters. I realise there are conflicting views some say do not correspond. Had I seen Bernie the blot letters initially I would have gone down this route.
Now I am at the debt collector letter stage how should I proceed.
Could continue with no letters, or write Euro parking and Brinx debt collectors with the template letters.
The more you write to them, the more they will write to you. They are desparate for pen friends and just love it when they find someone who will reply to their letters. They will send you lots and lots of lovely letters and hope you write back with love and kisses all the time.
If you want the fastest way to the end of the letters, then ignoring has proved to be successful more times on here than any other.
Hi, I don't think they will take any notice. The CPM (carparks) didn't and neither have the debt collectors. Even with Special Delivery they said they didn't get the letter. If your cause is just and the fine you got is not legitimate then don't respond. Once they do get a letter you have supplied them with an address. Mind you, anything they send can be kept as evidence, even ones saying they haven't received your letter. I don't know about the companies you are dealing with - they may have 'history' and maybe someone her can advise.
your are near the end now you are at the DCA stage. their letters are designed to scare you - its a [problem] remember, don't fall for it Check out Brinx debt collectors on Companies House. their former name was EURO CAR PARKS (NOTTINGHAM) LIMITED. its just the usual phoney DCA rubbish. But it gets better, Companies House shows this "Last Accounts Made Up To: 31/12/2007 (DORMANT)". they shouldn't be trading while dormant. Report them to Companies House Compliance department !! better yet wait until after Feb 1st to report them as the applicable fines increase on that date due to new rules. far from being nervous you should be kicking their ass ! hard !!
Have had a few run ins with Euro Parks. They usually pass things onto a DCA called Control Account so Brinx is a new one on me. You will recieve two letters at most then they will give up

In my case, I had a "parking charge Notice" from ECP back in July 08, followed by a chaser in September 08.
The last communication was from Controlaccount - with the usual blarney about "firm instructions to commence Litigation and obtain judgement against you. Such a course of action may have an adverse affect on your ability to obtain credit", back in November 08.
