Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Hi all - I've been reading up a fair bit on this forum - fantastic information - it gave me the courage to ignore a pcn that I got for Euro Carparks.
I got the PCN in October -( I am not the registered keeper of the vehicle.)
It was followed by a letter demanding £70. I ignored this. A month later the letter from Controlaccount, which I ignored. I then got a second letter from Controlaccount (saying i had 5 days to pay) I ignored this. All has been quiet for a couple of weeks.
Today I recieved a telephone call from Euro Carparks! I knew straight away it was them as they don't have 100% accurate details from DVLA - and I said the person they were asking for did not live here and asked who was calling the woman said "Euro Carparks", she asked if she'd got through to xx xxxxxxx (my address) - I replied yes, but there is no XX XXXXXX at this address. She apologied for calling.
I'm just a bit concerned that they have obtained my home number and may call again - has anyone else had experience of this?
Thanks - I realise its an unlawful invoice. They aren't getting a penny. I just wasn't aware that they'd try phoning - Not sure how they got my number either. Has anyone heard of these scumbags phoning up before?
Its a new one on me for Euro Parks to phone someone. I know that DCA's quite simply look in the telephone book as they have your details except your number. Its possible that Euro Parks may have done the same thing.

I have had dealings with this mob before, but no telephone calls.
In my case, I had a "parking charge Notice" from ECP back in July 08, followed by a chaser in September 08.
The last communication was from Controlaccount - with the usual blarney about "firm instructions to commence Litigation and obtain judgement against you. Such a course of action may have an adverse affect on your ability to obtain credit", back in November 08.
