Parking ticket for parking outside my own flat - Noertern Parking Solutions - any experiences??
Hi everyone.
I live in a cul-de-sac in York, on the top floor of a block of flats. Each flat has one parking bay which I use, the rest of the cul-de-sac has no yellow lines or markings on the road with regard to parking etc. Recently signs have gone up along the lines of 'Unauthorised parking' and 'entering into a contract' if you park there. We do not have to have permits or anything like that. The other evening I came back from work and there was a car in my parking bay - I decided to park on the roadside out side of my flat - it was slightly on the pavement but not causing an obstruction - the next morning I had a FIXED parking charge stuck to my windscreen from NORTHERN PARKING SOLUTIONS for £60........
Has anyone any experience of NORTHERN PARKING SOLUTIONS???
After reading all of these threads I am not going to pay it but I would be interested to hear experiences of people who have not paid tickets received in similar circumstances to mine. Is best just to totally leave it or contact the company directly and explain that you will not be paying????
Yet another of these "do it yourself" parking companies, like Parkshield. They lead people to believe that because you have a wad of tickets that they have printed, anyone can become a "parking enforcement agent". All they do is collate the tickets and start sending out letters hoping to collect from suckers, while the ticket issuer normally gets a commision.
