    Angry sky payment problems

This is started when i had a over due sky payment to which i phone up and paid then the lady said the payment has not gone through did i want to try again and i said yes yet again its not gone through,

Any way i checked my bank and to my suprise the 2 amounts were pending i phoned the bank to check and they said yes there were for sky,
Phoned sky back up and informed them of this and they said no it has not gone through all the time i have no channels,

phoned the bank back up they gave me the information sky neeeded to stop the payments pending gave them all this and was told head office had to deal with it and it could take up to 10 days but she told me she had send a signal and my viewing would be back on, went to the dentist came home still no channels, yet again another phone callicon to sky only 2 be told there was nothing they could do till the matter had been looked into so by now i had enough and left it for the night.

Phoned again this morning explained the problem all over again the person in the call centre spoke to his manager and i was promised my channels would be back on today 4 hrs later yet again no channels another phone callicon to sky only to be told there was nothing they can do as there is a problem with my bank account but i know there is nothing wrong with it when i said i had phoned the bank they decieded to tell me there is a problem with my sky account and until they had looked into it there is nothing they can do and they wont do anything about it till then how long i dont know..

but till then i have no sky viewing not happy

    Just for any other users,

sky had a major problem (now resolved) that when taking payments the other day they were authorizing but not claiming, anyone you spoke to should have been aware of it. The payments would have drooped off but glad was sorted

All i can say is keep trying they will give in sooner or later

    Hi Ida

i made the payments on satruday, i have rang sky and the bank countless times, the bank assure me the payment will be made to sky as the funds are no longer their, sky say until it shows on their system i wont get switched back on and even tried to get me to pay £30 and signup for a new account!!!

the branch manager assured me all card payments made on a weekend or non working day take between 1-3 working days to go through, today is the 3rd working day they have since told me that it could clear anytime today, im not sure what time banking hours run?? 9 - 5

so i have no sky, and hence no money in my account, this £80.67p is sitting in limbo, the manager said it would be highly unlikely that it will drop back into my account as i had funds to cover it

it has said this for the last 5 days (including sat and sun)

i just want my sky back on, thats why i chose to pay the £80.67p
iv made card payments in the past that have come off straight away and showed up 2-4 days later as SKY DIGITAL or ARGOS and never had a problem

ok by now it should show your 'correct' balance and a payment to SKY digital for x amount.

i just checked and my payments i made sat and monday are showing who I have made payment too not just deducted from the balance.

One problem is that Sky do not seem to have the ability to drop autorizations and I know that i have had the same problem but with a different company and i got the bnak mananger to drop them.

I am afraid it looks you may need to wiat another couple of days for them to drop and return your bank account to the full balance so you can do the payment again.

i just dont understand why it has take so long to happen?? why didnt the payment go straight through, im seriously thinking of the money does bounce back into my account either paying the £30 and starting a new account as my current one has been off for 12+ months and then just pay the £80.67 at a later date, or going back to virgin

to be homest, whoever offered you the worng account was wrong to do it and it would never go through as a new account. onlu possible if the old account balance was clear

as above your bank CAN drop the authorizations if a payment has not been taken 3 working days and the payment was made
