I have been with the A&L for 20 years. I do have an authorised overdraft icon

with them. Last month my employer had a problem with our salary transfer and instead of BACS as normal they ended up lodging cash into my account. I was over my authorised overdraft limit for 1 day. I was charged or this as per the A&L policy however more worrying is that i checked my Experian credite report as I recieved an alert saying that there had been a significant change in my file and to my horror my A&L entry now shows as 2 payments behind. I contacted A&L to as wjat this was and was told it was to do with my overdraft commitments not being met on two seperate occasions. One because my salary was a day late and one because on the day that my salary was due to go in they paid a DD for me ( and charged me for that as well) Is this something they can do !!!!!

They did the same thing to me.

They gave me two late payment markers because their stupid slow systems put a DD before my salary (even though they went through at exactly the same time)
I got judgement from the fos icon

for them to remove these false markers from my credit rating so I suggest writing them a letter explaining the situation. And I've also noticed that A&L can mess your credit file up for the least little thing - if they have put a late payment marker on for your salary being a day late then I would seriously kick up a stink.
