I took out a loan with welcome finance for £2'000.00 Feb. 2007 for a period of 36 months, I was told that I had to sing for PPI, at first instance I did not, but the forms were returned to me for me to sign and was told I would not get the loan unless I signed. A did signed then a year after I was told it was miss-selling. The signatures are signed with two different inks at separate times. I wrote (1 year after) Welcome Feb 2008and asked for a refund. They said they would give a rebate of £333.83 although they did not accept it was miss-selling. I also cancelled the PPI Feb 2008. The cost of PPI for 36 months is £1362.54. Up to Feb 2008 I paid £454.20 in PPI (12x37.85) I am thinking the rebate of £333.83 given is taken for what I have already paid, then since I cancelled, I would not pay PPI for the remain 24 months. However, Welcome wants to tell me that the rebate is for the full amount of PPI I would pay for 36 months. How can this be when I cancelled after 12 months into the loan? Help!!
