Hello all,

Has anyone any experiance of dealing with Direct Line with regards to making a claim on their contents insurance for a laptop claim.

I have read that they take the laptop away for some time to see if they can repair.

I can't afford to be without the laptop for long and would need a replacement asap.

Any comments would be appreciated

I would presume all insurance companies are the same - they must validate damage and then determine what is most cost effective.

 

A good way to remember the process is:

"The 3 R's" - 1) Repair 2) Replace 3) Reimburse (Cash settle)

 

They will take the most logic route.
