Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Has anyone got any tips for claiming these back over the phone? (not all - just last months) missed my payment this month and have been levied with £24 worth of charges, paid all the int but im still over by £24 due to the same!
SAR is going to be sent shortly but just wanted to know if there's any tips for reclaiming some now!
Well, you can ask nicely if these were just a one-off and point out that you have had no problems in the past, and ask for a gesture of good will. If that doesn't work, suggest that you WILL get those charges back one way or another (hint-hint) and wouldn't it be simpler to just refund those now and save both them and you the trouble of litigation for such a paltry sum? If they still won't move, then you know what you got to do.
