Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Issued a claim against these people on Monday for £780 did the usual letters and got snotty standard letters back with complaints procedures on.
Just wondered what will happen next, I see on here quite a few victories but Nationwide chose to Defend, what happended next to make them pay out, did it go to court, if so how did u defend.
Also read about a guy called BACON who he is, why do people e mail him?
OK, this is how Nationwide have been playing it...the acknowledge with intent to defend. (This gives them an additional 14 days in which to pay you out). A few days after this, you get payments into your account, usually the interest+fees first followed shortly by the remainder.
There are TONS of us on here who Nationwide have paid out on and not one of us has gone to court. Don't worry about that, people have been paid out who have been claiming 5 times as much as you and if they were gonna pick one, it would probably be a biggie.
So sit back, wait for your claim to be acknowledged and then check your bank account daily, a few times a day and wait for the money to go in Honestly, trust me.
Keep us updated!

They paid in full now more money went into the account.
Just confused had letter 2 days ago, stating that following my letter to Charles Bacon my charges had been refunded, no mention of my claim.
Also they acknologed claim but not heard anything since, do I contact court and tell them it has been settled or will Nationwide do that.
Then the sting, letter received today, stating because I have broken the terms of my flex account and misused it they will be closing it in 30 days, if I use it after this time it will be classed as fraud and they will go legal.
I dont care about these accounts, but the prinicpal is can Nationwide do this?
I am up for a fight to keep them open, and just wondered how to approach this.
Another member has started proceedings against Nationwide closing his account - you can read about it here .

Anybody know, what do I do to close this out, should I let court know that Nation----e have paid up, is there a form or fill or do I call them or anything
Just ring the courts and tell them. You don't need to do anything on the moneyclaim site itself.
