Thread: Whats the average time for a complaint to be dealt with??

Hi Everyone, just a generic question really..whats the average time for these complaints to be actioned? Ive had one in since March last year and still heard nothing..

Yeah its with the fos..Its been 10 months now..I was just wondering,

It is at the moment 6-9mths to turn around claims with the fos i would give them a ring and ask for an update and as its now been 10 mths can you fast track it.

Thats what I thought..but I had an email from them today saying that due to the amount of PPI they cannot put a time limit on it is that right?

I'm just going straight to court as soon as they refuse, if they do.

If you have good grounds for a refund i see no reason why the fos would not uphold your complaint.

80% of claims are being upheld by the FOS

So what should be my next steps with the fos?

My PPI complaint has been with the fos 11 months now and it's still no closer to being passed to an adjudicator :cry: the complaint is regarding HFC

Im afraid so Joski the fos cant be rushed the problem is too many claims that can be easily sorted by the banks etc are not resulting in the FOS being snowed under with claims.

You did the right thing by going to the FOS first because if they cant sort it you still have the court route to follow where as if you went to the court first and they threw it out thats it you cant then go to the FOS.

As much as we all want our money its a waiting game.

I have a claim totaling nearly £26,000 and could really do with that money to pay creditors and get them of my back but as i say i just gota wait.
