Hi, I am fairly new to reclaiming PPIand am slightly confused and could do with some help. My hubby took out a credit card back in 1999, we believe he should be able toclaim due to the following:
1. he was not asked about any previous medical conditions.
2. He was not informed that it was optional.
We wrote to them asking for this to be refunded, we have now received a reply basically saying that "he would have been sent a "welcome pack" detailing the terms and conditions, this confirmed that the policy was optional and gave him a 30 day cooling off period. All the info regarding pre-existing medical conditions were included in the PPI policy leaflet." They go on to say that all policies were sold in accordance of the Insuance business code of practice.
What is the next step or do we have no chance?
