Thread: debt collector pursuing debt even though it has been appealed

I received a pcn from Westminster Coucil. I then launched an appeal and 5 days later received a letter from a debt collection agency trying to cliam the unpid fine.

Please advise me what to do? Also can they pursue a fine whilst an appeal has been MADE ?

I doubt very much that they can do this. It seems to be very quick. Are you sure that it is in respect of the same pcn?

I would suggest calling the council to ask them about it. You should record all calls as a matter of goodpractice. You do not need to give warnings
