Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
after readin that it seems u cant open an acc with a record of fraud. Does a record of fraud mean CIFAS warning on file. Also what is undischarged bankrupt
Undischarged bankrupt is someone who has benn made bankrupt but has not fully paid of the debt,ie they have a debt of say £100.00 and they are paying it back at say £1 a week or a month
An undischarged bankrupt is some who has been declared bankrupt by the court (either on their own or a creditor's application ) and whose bankruptcy period has not yet expired. The period of bankruptcy is set by the court can range from a few months to several years depending. Most are very short now- perhaps a year or even less.
Any bankrupt can be subject to an income payment order if they have enough income. This means that they are required to pay something regularly to their creditors. I believe that these can last for up to 3 years ie they can include a period after discharge.
