I had a Citi card which expired the end of Nov 2008. I received a letter from Citi saying they cannot issue me with a replacement. At that time the card was within its limit and I had been paying on time.I had some charges on this card dating back a few years so i sent a letter basically asking for them back or I would put in a complaint with fos. Now the charges plus interest came to more than the balance so I offered for them to close the account with a zero balance and I would not pursue them for the remaining amount. (which was only a small amount)After approx 4 weeks I received a reply, bog standard stuff saying they would respond within 4 weeks etc etc. I am still waiting for their response. In the meantime I am receiving phone calls
, which I am ignoring. I have received 2 statements since with interest and charges applied to them which has now taken the card over the limit and I have a late payment marker on my credit file.Since this account was put in dispute at the time I received the letter saying they weren't renewing my card can they still operate the account in the same way? Thanks in advance for any replies
