    Default Norwich Union [problem]mers threatening me with legal letters

    i was looking for a quote for my car insuranceicon in december 2007, i have been request insurance quotes and putting my details on different web sites. someone from norwich union has contacted me and told me if you would like to have a quote, i carry on to get the quotation based at my ex-girlfriend address in london because i was doing my work training and i was going to move to london once my training has completely but at the time i was still living in east midland, leicester . my home address in leicester, and the car was parked in the garage at my residence address as the car was off road, (SORN) because there was not tax, no insurance and no mot), at that time i did not bothered to put in back on the road because i was provided with a company car and i have a motorbike which i used for personal use.



    she asked me all my details, after the quotation i say i dont want to carry on. after couple of days i got a letter of confirmation at my ex-girl friend address in london, i call norwich union i told customer services i did not set up this policy, the policy was set up without my consent, i only asked for a quotation. i would like to cancel this policy with immediate effect. customer service in india suggested that she has referred the matter to the cancellation department and the policy will be cancelled and also suggest to return the confirmation letter, i posted the letters back i though the policy was cancelled but the policy was still going on when found out in mar 2008, i call norwich union direct again and i asked for a explanation why the policy was not cancelled, i was told they did not received a written confirmation from me, that the reason, i was suprised when the advisor told me that.i told her i spoken to customer service they say they have cancelled it...full stop and requested all document back. customer service says if i want to cancel it now i have to pay the rest remaining period for the policy inorder to cancel it. i says that sound stupid for not doing your work in the first place, it is customer service mistake for not cancelling the policy not mine.it is their duties to do so.

    i had not choice whether to pay the policy which i did not took out in the first place or i have to pay the rest of the remaining policy even though i was not using the car as it was not tax, insured or mot. with numerous calls to customer service, i was fed up with customer services as they did not want to listen to me and help me in the situation. i was so depressed and under delusion that norwich union will refund the money, i decided to tax and mot the vehicle. since norwich union refuses to cancel my policy, and money was still taken from my bank account without my consent, and they will not refund the money, i decided to put the vehicle back on the road, there was a chip on my windscreen i decided to get it fix for free as it was fully comprehensive, it was free of charge under the policy, i have contacted norwich union against i told them to repair the chip on my windscreen, which i should not done that, i am so silly to put myself in such a terrrible situation. infact they have put me through autoglass who came to repair the chip on the windscreen but has made the matter worst, autoglass technician has cracked the windscreen and refused to change it until i pay them £60 on my excess. norwich union have cancelled the policy since they did not received proof of documentations, and have rejected the claim and reduced the no claim bonus to zero and recalculate the premium based at my girl friend address. to be fair money has been taken from my account without consent since the policy has started till norwich union has been cancelled it. why would i have to pay the rest of the premium which was recalculated at my girlfriend address in london which i did not took out myself. it think it would be fair if you could find out who have take the policy out without my consent. i believe it is a [problem]mer from norwich union sales department. they are refusing to investigate and comment on it.

    now norwich union is threatening me with letters from westcot credit services ltd for the money i owe them.
