Having Looked Thru The Forum This Appears To Be A Standard Letter Apart From The Fact That
1. The "your Reference" Number Bares No Relationship To My Account Number.
2. I Did Not Have Any "recent Circumstances On My Account".
3. The Address On The Letter Heading Reads Sheffield, The Postmark Reads Swansea And The Back Of The Envelope Reads London.
4. My Actual Letter Was Dated 11th July 2006 Not 14th July 2006 And Even If My Letter Had Been Dated 14th July The Letter Must Have Been Sent, Delivered And Replied To On The Same Day.
I Was Wondering If This Piece Of Mail Was Actually For Me And Not Someone Else Or Are Hsbc Cutting Out Dpa Replies And The Need For Us To Send Prelim Approach For Repayment Letters.
So Just Checking No One Has A Ten Numbered Account Or Reference Number That Begins 1804xxxxxx. If You Think This Is Your Letter Please Get In Touch With Me. My Name And Address Are On The Letter But Nothing Else Relates To Me.
Thats the same letter I received this mornign- and I had statements online so didnt send Data Protection Act letter.
Im just going to send lba as soon as the 14 days are up
And mine also said the letter i sent was dated the 14th- when in fact it was dated the 7th- THEIR latter was dated the 14th and had the sheffied address on it
I think that it depends on the branch. I sent 2 dpa letters for 2 accounts. Got a letter back within 5 days saying that they will send it out in batches. Received all statements for one account within 2 days, still waiting on a few more for the 2nd account though.
Keep going and good luck
Rachel
