    Default Used car problems

Hi all, this is my first post!!

I purchased a VW Golf from my local main dealer at the end of October. The car was 11 months old and had done 7k miles.

Since taking delivery I have had the following problems:-

    1) After 2 weeks the STOP low coolant light came on. Upon checking it was found to be 1 inch under the minimum line. I booked the car in and the dealer found no problem. Since then, it has happened twice again, and I have just topped it up. The dealer has been informed.

    2) Engine management light on and the car developed a bad stutter. Again it was booked in and received new coils and plugs. This fixed the problem.

    3) Wipers. I have intermittant operation of the rear wipers / rear wash wipe and front windscreen washers (all 3 either work or don't work). The front wipers always work. The car has been back to the dealer who fitted a new stalk. This did not fix the problem. It went back again and they diagnosed a bad fuse connection. Car was sent back to me again, but it is still intermittant operation. This is clearly dangerous, especially in this weather.

I have now wrote to the dealer for the second time (first time to outline all the above 3 problems) advising that they have again failed to fix the car. I have offered them another final opportunity to fix it before I seek a refund under SOGAicon for a vehicle of unsatisfactory quality.

It's really disappointing as I purposefully spent more money on a newer car so that I didn't get these sort of problems!

None of the work done so far has been charged for.

I'm looking for some advice / confirmation that I've done everything in the correct order, and that I'm correct that I would be entitled to a full refund if it is not fixed.

They received the letter on Thursday, but have so far not contacted me to book the car in again.

    Many thanks.

    Thanks for your comments.

Although I would rather they repair the car (as I do like it!) it has been very disappointing and at times dangerous.

Presumably I could already reject it?
