Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Newbie here with a question, hope that's ok for a first post
I applied last month for the Childrens Tax Credit for 2002-2003, and on the phone the guy from my tax office said it looked like I was entitled, as my tax code letter hadn't been changed for the relevant years.
I sent away the CTC1, and today received two letters from HMRC.
First one asked for my 2002-2003 P60 "so that I can calculate any issue and issue any refund due"
Second one was a PAYE coding notice, saing that my tax code on my pension has been changed from 529L to 469L, with the remaining £1340 of my initial £6035 allowance being offset against my salary.
So, does the first letter say that I am going to get a credit, which I have heard is around £600?
Does the second letter then say that my tax free allowance is being reduced by £600?
